Events at the Palais des Congrès of Paris: the season’s calendar and your stay at Hôtel Toujours
Discover
Shows, symphonic concerts, trade fairs and international conferences: events at the Palais des Congrès de Paris set the pace at Porte Maillot all year round. Run by Viparis, this major convention centre and cultural venue hosts the general public, who come to see a ballet, a musical or a film concert. It also welcomes visitors to a professional expo or an industry exhibition. From November to January, then on into spring, the calendar lines up some outstanding dates: Shen Yun, Swan Lake and Laurent Gerra, ahead of the eagerly awaited return of Roméo et Juliette. Located just a few steps from the venue, Hôtel Toujours, a 4-star boutique hotel in the 16th arrondissement, welcomes you in one of its 37 rooms. You can extend the evening without worrying about transportation, with a pool, hammam and sauna set beneath vaulted Paris stone.
Business and knowledge
Conferences, trade fairs and professional expos at Porte Maillot
Beyond the stage, the Palais des Congrès remains one of France’s leading congress centres for scientific conferences, corporate meetings and professional forums. From 24 to 28 November 2026, the Palais des Congrès and Porte Maillot are busy with the ADF congress, the major meeting of the dental industry. It combines a continuing professional development programme with an international exhibition spread over four levels of the building, where companies exhibit their latest technology. Throughout the year, learned societies, national and French-speaking congresses and specialised trade shows follow one another, from medical research studies to cutting-edge sectors.
The venue belongs to the Viparis network, Europe’s leading host of congresses and trade shows. A single week of trade fairs can therefore take in several venues, from one exhibition hall to the next. For these business trips, Hôtel Toujours offers practical, carefully designed accommodation solutions. You will find a marble writing desk to review a presentation, a tea and coffee service in your room and a bar for an informal business meeting. The fitness room, open 24/7, helps you keep up the pace between two conference days.
The season on stage
The calendar of events at the Palais des Congrès de Paris
Dance, ballet and orchestra, French chanson, the art of the film concert: the Palais des Congrès de Paris schedule covers a wide range of shows and almost every type of stage experience. The building opened in 1974 on Place de la Porte Maillot, and its history carries real cultural significance. It hosted Eurovision in 1978, the César awards in the 1980s, Starmania and Notre-Dame de Paris, and it is where Roméo et Juliette was born in 2001. The current season opened in October with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and continues month after month with events for every audience. Swan Lake, in its ballet and orchestra version, returns several times until spring 2027. This Tchaikovsky classic comes into its own in one of the largest auditoriums in Paris.
December brings some of the finest dates. On Sunday 13 December 2026 at 4:00 PM, the film concert A Man and a Woman (Un homme et une femme) celebrates the film’s 60th anniversary in the presence of Claude Lelouch. The Iconic Symphonic orchestra plays Francis Lai’s score live. From 23 December, The Nutcracker, performed by the Paris Ballet Theater, makes an ideal family outing over the holidays. To end the year with a laugh, Laurent Gerra brings his show Laurent Gerra se met à table to the stage on 29, 30 and 31 December 2026. It is a one-man show with a music-hall feel, where current affairs pass through the sieve of his impressions.
January 2027 gets off to a strong start. On 2 January, Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra celebrates its 25th anniversary as a film concert: the 70 musicians of the Iconic Symphonic play the soundtrack in perfect sync with the restored images. From 23 January to 9 May 2027, the Shen Yun company returns to the Palais des Congrès with its classical Chinese dance and live orchestra. Performances are spread over January, February, March and May. At the end of January, Chantal Goya celebrates “50 ans d’amour” with her audience, on a stage where she has already performed more than 500 times.
February and spring hold their own highlights. On 27 February 2027, the Sinfonia Pop Orchestra performs John Williams’ score live for the film concert Hook. Fancy a Sunday film concert in the late afternoon? On 30 May 2027 at 5:00 PM, Monsieur Aznavour brings the life of Charles Aznavour back to the big screen; he counted this hall among his favourites. Finally, save the date for the major event of late 2027: from 3 December, Roméo et Juliette returns to the Palais des Congrès, with Damien Sargue and Cécilia Cara in the title roles. Seats go quickly. It is best to book tickets early and reserve your room at the same time.
Close to the venue
A hotel at Porte Maillot, just steps from the Palais des Congrès
Hôtel Toujours is located on the doorstep of the Palais des Congrès, whose address is 2 Place de la Porte Maillot, 75017 Paris, France. After the final curtain call, you simply walk back, with no need to hunt for a taxi or watch the time for the last metro. If you arrive early, the retail gallery and the UGC Maillot cinema inside the Palais make the wait a pleasure.
Getting around is just as easy, and directions are simple. From Porte Maillot station, metro line 1 runs directly to La Défense, the Champs-Élysées, the Louvre Museum, Châtelet and Gare de Lyon. RER C, at Neuilly-Porte Maillot, takes you without changing to the Palace of Versailles for a day trip. Buses 43, 73, 82 and 244 serve, respectively, the department stores on Boulevard Haussmann, the Musée d’Orsay, Les Invalides and the Fondation Louis Vuitton. The shuttle to Paris-Beauvais airport leaves five minutes from the hotel. For another way to get around, a Vélib’ station is one minute away, and our partners at Holland Bikes offer bike rental and guided tours in Paris with the code TOUJOURS.
The neighbourhood is also worth exploring. Between the edge of the Bois de Boulogne and the start of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, Porte Maillot puts the Golden Triangle one metro stop away and the Fondation Louis Vuitton within easy cycling distance. A little further, the Grand Palais, the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars complete a central Paris destination. The best time to enjoy it all is the morning after a show, before heading home or back to a conference session.
Three signature styles
Hôtel Toujours rooms, between Lin, Trench and Havane
Inspired by the timeless pieces of a well-chosen wardrobe, the hotel’s total of 37 rooms forms a small collection in three styles. The Classic Lin Room (14 sqm) plays on a natural palette and relaxed chic. The Superior Trench Room (15 sqm) borrows the putty beige piped with greyish green and the tartan pattern of the famous raincoat. More spacious, the Deluxe Havane Room (20 sqm) is dressed in leather and wood effects and can accommodate up to three guests on request.
Some rooms add a valuable extra. The Double Rooms with Balcony (14 to 20 sqm) feature a Parisian-style balcony. On the ground floor, the Havane Double Room with Terrace (18 sqm) has a leafy private terrace and a large marble bathroom, as well as accessibility for guests with reduced mobility. The Connecting Rooms (29 sqm) pair Lin and Trench, with two bathrooms. Whatever the room size, every room features a rain shower, Typology toiletries, a smart TV and individually controlled air conditioning. A baby cot and ironing equipment are available on request.
Before and after the show
Spa, bar and room service: the services around your evening
Start the day at the spa, set beneath vaulted Paris stone bathed in ochre light. The pool with massage jets is open from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM. From the Superior category upwards, a private 45-minute slot is included, to be booked with reception. The hammam and sauna, open at the same times, are enjoyed in a cabin all to yourself, and massages are available by appointment. Guests in the Classic category have free access to the hammam, sauna and fitness facilities, with the pool available for a supplement.
After the show, the bar welcomes you until 12:30 AM (opening at 1:00 PM), a quieter alternative to the busier bars in Paris. Negroni, Bellini, Spritz or Gin Tonic are served by the fireplace, in the spirit of a Parisian lounge. Prefer to stay in? Room service offers a selection of gourmet dishes from 12:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The next morning, the breakfast buffet is served from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the café-lounge or in your room. It focuses on seasonal produce and local suppliers.
The concierge completes the experience: exhibitions, concerts, historic sites, the team helps you plan every activity before and during your stay, and can tailor each outing to your tastes. For a special date, several packages add a thoughtful touch. The Romantic Package includes champagne and macarons in your room, perfect for a celebration or even a proposal. The Wellness Duo Package includes a 60-minute couples massage. Conference participants will appreciate the long-stay offer, with breakfast included from three nights.
